what do i do when my canon mpc190 display say that the consume ink container is full.?

canon say that they will replace it for a costly price. as i live 400km away from sydney i am unable 2 do that. i enjoy rung a retailer that says it can replace the dissipate ink tank for a costy levy. i was also informed that they sold the quantity for i think $12. however could anyone bring up to date me what the waste ink looks close to and where it is located. as the printer solely cost $200 i dont want 2 pay canon for thier 'helpful service'

To Reset Waste Ink Message:

1) Enter SERVICE MODE (Press Menu, Copy, Scan, Copy, Copy)

2) Select TEST MODE.

3) Select [8] PRINTER TEST surrounded by TEST MODE.

4) Select 3. [EEPROM CLEAR].

5) Select 0. [INK COUNT].

6) Press the [Set] key.

7) Press the [Stop/Reset] knob (returning to the state of 3)), and then press the [ON/OFF] push button.
